meet anzu!

I just wanted to send a picture of our new puppy! Her name is Anzu which means "apricot" in Japanese. She belongs to my roomate, Aaron, but obviously all three of us will raise her here in our house. She's a Japanese breed called a Shiba Inu, although you have probably seen them before because they sell them in the states. "Shiba" can mean "small" and "Inu" means "dog", another example of a very literal Japanese name that sounds nice because it's in Japanese. Anzu is very playful, intelligent, and adorable. She's a snuggler and will curl up against you any chance she gets. She also loves to chase us around when we walk and then run away when we turn around. She bites at our ankles when she manages to catch us but I've started disciplining her for doing that so she has stopped a bit. This picture was taken with my camera phone, but I will send more pictures when I get a chance to take some with my actual camera. Also, cherry blossom season is coming in about a week and it's supposed to be beautiful so I will get some pictures of that too.
